Getting Started
We Stories grounds its curriculum and programming in current child development, racial identity, and family socialization research. Based upon these findings, we built strategies, primarily for caregivers of white children, to minimize and deconstruct bias formation.
Getting Started is an easily accessible primer that provides a framework for caregivers and educators to engage in important conversations with kids about race.
We suggest beginning with Getting Started before delving into our other offerings: the Family Learning Program, DEI-Themed Lessons, and the Advocacy Builders Project.
