Comments
What is one feature that drew you to the IPEI2 project?
I loved that it was specifically focused on early intervention and interprofessional collaboration with deaf education educators.
How does the IPEI2 project effectively prepare you to be successful in your future career?
This program effectively prepares you to be successful in your career because of the great interprofessional relationships you form in class and through the real-life applicable project-based course material.
What is your favorite thing about the program?
My favorite thing about the program is the highly qualified professors. The professors connect the coursework to real-world issues in the field.
What inspired you to pursue your career choice?
When I shadowed at the Moog School for the Deaf and participated in the Cochlear Implant group, I thought the auditory verbal therapy was so interesting in both adults and children.
What opportunities are you hoping to have while being a part of the IPEI2 project?
I would love to shadow both in a School for the Deaf and an SLP early intervention specialist with LSL certification in-home therapy. Additionally, I would like to gain experience with parent coaching and strategies for families to use in the home.
