A Cornerstone, traditionally the first stone set in place for a structure, is an opportunity to orient or ground a new building. At Fontbonne, some building cornerstones hide secret caches of past history that weren’t meant to be reopened. More traditional time capsules, like the one planned for the Centennial, provide opportunities for us to gather and reflect on the campus' past and future.
This collection highlights all these hidden treasures. Filled with items of religious, political, or cultural significance (or just things that brought joy), they provide a glimpse into Fontbonne’s past.
