Born in Sanski Most where she lived with her parents and two siblings, The town was an area mixed with all religions, Attended school in the city until the break out of the war, Participated in many school activities, competitions and sports, Noticed things began to change in 1991 after Bosnia began to move towards independence, Began to see reports on TV and radios of sporadic billing in Tuzla and Sarajevo, Barricades put up in the city in 1992 and a curfew for Muslims introduced, Electricity began to be cut off and water was also reduced, Muslim residents of the town forced to display white flags on their homes, Living in the city began to be unbearable as Muslim residents began to be taken away to concentration camps, Shelling of the city became constant and non-stopping, In may Serbian neighbors came to their home and took her father away to Manjaca concentration camp, After staying in the home a few more weeks and without her father returning forced to leave the city, Paid to be let out of the city and into Croatia but first they had to sign over all property to the Serbian authorities, After arriving in Croatia stayed in a makeshift concentration camp until being picked up by family who took them to Germany, Joined in Germany by father year later where family began to work and she began school, Lived in a large home with 7 other families where everything was shared, After the end of the war in Bosnia forced to leave Germany, Came to the United States with family, Life in the first few months was horrible as it was a total culture shift and a different way of life, Adjusted and began to work as a real estate agent which she still engages in, Has a desire to return to Bosnia in her retirement, Wants future generations to never experience war of any kind as it is a horrible thing to experience and in most cases it is all political.
