Born in St. Louis in 2001 to parents who were both born in Bosnia, Remembers in the early years sharing a home with cousin and only speaking Bosnian, Started school at Bierbaum knowing only Bosnian, Attended ESL for two years, Became fluent in English but still mainly speaks Bosnian at home, Growing up in St. Louis with a sizeable Bosnian population felt right at home, Enjoys going to Bosnia to see friends and family, Lost uncle and cousin to war and wishes that she could have met them, Plans to attend St. Louis University and graduate with Ph.D., Sees a future where traveling to Bosnia will be a regular thing for herself and family but would remain living here, In 70 years would want people to know about the war and remember the victims with events and remembrance for it never to happen again
