Description
Born to Muslim parents in St. Louis, her mother and father were born in rural area surrounding Srebrenica. After coming to St. Louis after time in Germany, her parents struggled to learn English when Emina was growing up. Bosnian is spoken in the home and mostly traditional Bosnian meals are served, although she and her younger sister help her parents to navigate the english speaking world.
