Born in St. Louis to parents from the Podrinje region of Bosnia, Earliest memories are playing with neighborhood children who did not have the same home life as him, Noticed the different religious holidays and different traditions, Made him more understanding and accepting of other cultures and religions, Family has all lost at least a friend or one family member during the war, Before the war father worked in a automobile factory in the quality assurance department while mother was employed at a grocery store, Had built a new home and a decent life before the war, Lost home and jobs during the war and forced to leave the country, While visiting Bosnia spends time reconnecting with family who have all been forced out of their homes, Belives that in order for Bosnia to truly heal then country must move on from Dayton Accords and form a more unified country, Bosnia needs a more central government as current systems leads to too much waste, Identifies as Bosnian and his Bosnian heritage is the crucial piece in his life that drives him to be successful and drives him to have goals, Wants the international community and world leaders to tackle the denial of the Bosnian genocide and make positive changes to the country.
