Abstract
Sports have become a major industry in the business world. They are currently among the top ten of all business industries. Professional Basketball is a integral part of the sports industry.
Today, Marketing in Professional Basketball is very competitive. Determining the promotional strategies, pricing levels, and placement of facilities are all very important elements. Not always having the best product is sufficient but it helps.
Sponsorship has also become a major part of professional basketball. The use of the sport as promotional .vehicle for consumer or industrial product marketing has risen in the last decade.
The topic in which the thesis is based- upon the marketing of professional basketball in America.
The thesis will research the different variables in accordance to the marketing mix and their functions. As well as, what sponsorships are and do in the National Basketball Association.
