Abstract
Our visits to Gallaudet, Special School District, and Missouri School for the Deaf have broadened our knowledge of the various approaches used by other schools to teach the deaf. We feel there is great value in understanding all methods of teaching the deaf and this project has helped us acquire this understanding. We are indebted to Sr. James Lorene who saw the need for broadening our learning experiences. From her suggestion we had the opportunity to realize the differences in the needs and capabilities of deaf persons in other socio-economic groups.
