Description

Past and current faculty and graduates of Fontbonne University (formerly Fontbonne College) reflect upon the history of the Deaf Education program in conjunction with its 50th anniversary of the first graduating class from Fontbonne in 1963. Fifty years ago, Fontbonne University, in partnership with St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf, embarked on a journey to prepare teachers to educate children with hearing loss. This is the story of commitment, excellence and innovation that guided the deaf education program.
