These photos are part of a collection donated by Elsie Roth, RN (of St. Louis, MO), which documents the war and rescue missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the mid-1990s. Roth repeatedly visited the besieged city of Sarajevo in 1993, 1994, and 1995 to support the inhabitants and deliver relief supplies. The collection includes slides, photographs, videotapes, audio tapes, newspaper articles, color reproductions of original artwork drawn by children in Sarajevo, Bosnia, (both during and after the war), a flak jacket with attached United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) badge, a t-shirt "Maybe Airlines Sarajevo" and miscellaneous papers and handwritten notes.
