One feature that drew me to the IPEI program was the ability to focus my studies in my field of interest and make a difference in families lives. The IPEI program prepares you for a successful career by providing many learning opportunities with both Speech-Language Pathologists and Deaf Educators. I was inspired to pursue this career in my undergraduate education when taking American Sign Language courses. This program was a perfect fit for me as it combined my passions for Speech-Language Pathology and helping the Deaf and hard of hearing community. My favorite part of the IPEI program is to opportunity to collaborate and learn with peers that share a passion for helping young children who are Deaf or hard of hearing and their families. As a part of this project, I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge to provide the best therapy for my future clients.
