One feature that drew me to the IPEI project is the opportunity to work with and make a difference in the lives of families. The IPEI project effectively prepares you to be successful in your future career because it supplies you with the necessary information to work with children who are deaf/hard of hearing and their families through different courses, qualified professionals, clinical experiences, and conference opportunities. My favorite thing about the IPEI program is being able to collaborate with similar individuals who also have an inner drive to work with children who are deaf/hard of hearing. I was inspired to pursue a career in early intervention with children who are deaf/hard of hearing after finding my passion in both speech-language pathology and audiology during my undergraduate career. Also, I have always loved working with families who have young children, therefore, this program was the perfect fit for me. While being a part of the IPEI project, I hope to further my knowledge and love for this career field to provide the best possible therapy for my future clients.
