The Summer Font filled a gap in the the Font's regular publication schedule, highlighting events on campus, news about Fontbonne students, faculty, and other CSJs, and reminders of important dates for the upcoming academic year.

University Archives holds only a very few issues of the summer newsletter and has little information on the contributors or how often it was published (maybe annually?). We consider the first issue, from July 1928, one of the Archives’ treasures.
