Born in St. Louis to parents fleeing from the conflict in Bosnia, Attended school in a district that has a mostly American population and not many Bosnians, Most of his friends are American, Speaks Bosnian and English but speaks mostly Bosnian at home with his parents, Understanding of what it means to be Bosnian has not changed from younger years, If asked to describe his identity it would be Bosnian, Thinks that his parents might be a different type of Bosnian then him since they lived there and he has spent his whole life in St. Louis, Plans to complete school with a degree in Business or Sports Medicine, Has plans to travel to Bosnia in the future and to maintain a link to his culture and heritage, Wants future generations to know that your Bosnian heritage and culture is what makes you who you are and you should not hide or be ashamed of it but display it with pride.
