Description
Born in Sisak, but was raised in Prijedor. She describes a nice middle-class life before the war with many friends. She was 16 when the war started She had heard of the war starting in Sarajevo and was aware that people were being distinguished based on their ethnic background, but her parents tried to keep them away from what was happening. Her family is not religious. She finished high school in Prijedor although they had no electricity and most of the teachers and students had left. She left Prijedor in 1993 for Belgrade where she entered school for Occupational Therapy. Her parents joined her in Belgrade a year later in 1994. She doesn’t think about the war but doesn’t want to go back. It is a major disappointment that the city isn’t the same. The interview is cut-off.
