Description
Born in a village outside Srebrenica to Bosniak parents. He is the youngest and has five older sisters. The family moved from his village to Srebrenica in 1992 and stayed until 1995. He does not remember much from the war, but remembers not being able to play outside and taking a bus from Srebrenica to Tuzla. His father had to travel 3 months through the forest to get to safety. There are 10 older family members that are unaccounted for. He was 11 years old when they left Bosnia in 2000, and moved to Dallas, Texas. They lived in Dallas for 5 years. His sisters had gotten married and moved to St. Louis so he and his parents moved to be closer to them. He learned English. He finished Afton High School and went on to graduate from Vaterrot College with a management degree.
