The use of the audio tape-cards may be successfully used to improve rhythm, pitch and intelligibility in some hearing impaired children. Use of the audio tape-card player should be accompanied by close monitoring of the child's progress. A need for further study is indicated. As measured by the pretest and post test scores of the designed rating scale, rhythm was significantly improved after treatment using the audio tape-card player. A statistically significant difference between the pretest and post test scores for pitch and intelligibility could not be computed. However, there were individual differences indicating improvement in pitch and intelligibility in most of the subjects.
