Abstract
The following paper analyzes ethics in the business environment and the formulation, implementation and enforcement of the ethical code in the organization. Initially, I will discuss the external and internal influences that impact the formulation of the organizational ethical code and the decision making process.
The second thrust of this paper examines topics that deal with the implementation of the organizational ethical code and includes the discussion of commitment of top management, the mission statement, ethical training in the organization and limitations of the ethical code.
The last area of study will focus on the enforcement of the ethical code in the organization. Topics that will be addressed include the need for code enforcement and the current external and internal actions that are employed to enforce the code.
