Abstract
The basic purpose of this thesis is to get inside the money market. Another purpose will be to explore the pressures from Government on the money market. This will discuss not only operations of the Federal Reserve as they affect the money market but Treasury public debt operations.
The second part of the thesis provides a description of the types of paper that the money market uses.
The third part of the thesis focuses on a consideration of the needs and objectives of money market participants.
