Description
The Fontbonne Chapter of the American Association of University Professors is opposed to the insertion of Associate Deans into the faculty evaluation process. The AAUP Statement on Teaching Evaluation (aaup.org/report/statement-teaching-evaluation) says: “Faculty members should have a primary, though not exclusive, role in evaluating an individual faculty member’s performance as teacher.”
