The Milles Fountain depicts, in bronze sculpture, "The Wedding of the Waters" symbolizing the joining of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, by famed Swedish-American sculptor Carl Milles. In the background is the nationally known landmark Union Station, which has served St. Louis since 1894.
