Description

Bring the following and join us for this hands-on workshop/discussion.

1) Something you would like feedback on (such as a written assignment or two, a rubric, a syllabus, etc.) with some specific ideas about the type of feedback you want (e.g., How to engage students more? How to encourage critical thinking through writing? How to schedule draft due dates that will encourage revisions?).

2) Something that works well for you and that you are comfortable disseminating to the group, such as an effective rubric, a creative assignment geared toward an unusual audience/ genre, a low-stakes writing example, or even a set of policies that have worked to accomplish some critical thinking or class discussion goal.

This workshop was inspired by the Engaging Ideas learning circle sponsored in spring 2018.
