I never planned to work with the deaf/hard of hearing population and happily stumbled upon it during my undergraduate schooling at Butler University. After a semester of studying abroad, taking ASL courses, and student volunteering at the Indiana School for the Deaf I found a passion working with this population. I realized I wanted to pursue a career that emphasized the complexities and artistry of communication while allowing me to help others. I chose Fontbonne because it allowed me great education, experience, and opportunity in my future field of work!
