Parents fled Bosnia during the war to Germany where they settled in Berlin where she was born, Moved to the United States and earliest memories are from growing up in St. Louis, Being raised in a Bosnian household there was a pressure to succeed, Oldest of three siblings while family moved to the United States the rest of her extended family including grandparents stayed in Bosnia, Attended High School in Oakville where there was not a large population of Bosnians but the few Bosnians there were stuck together, Feels an appreciation for the United States more than peers and strives to succeed even more due to the difficult times her family and Bosnians had to go through to get to where they are, Feels that it is important to be nice to everyone and dislikes when others bully or speak ill of Serbs since she treats everyone equally, Graduated from Mehlville and has a plan to attended college and succeed step by step in academic, business and personal life, wants to do her part to help Bosnia as a country, Wants future generations to always remember where they are from and who they are
